A Study on the School Health Program and Primary Health Care


Abstract
This study was attempted to evaluate the school health program of Korea and other countries in terms of primary health care.
There are differences in school health programs and approaching methods by health care systems and major student¢¥s health problems.
In the Federal Republic of Germany, England an(¢¥. China, responsibilities for school health programs are held by the government public healt.-i department. But in Korea, Japan, U.S.A school health programs are operated by school and community efforts.
In comparison school health programs with other countries, school-community relations in Korea are very weak. Health assessment examinations are not suitable for the student¢¥s health problems, and moreover, there are no follow-up care. Health instructions are not taught by health teachers in school health environment, safe water supply, illumination of classroom require improvement.
